1. Our drive to recruit potential members (bakal ahli) for our yet to form KOPERASI MCOBA has netted 170 members. To set up a koperasi we must have a minimum of 100 expressing a "common interest" (kepentingan bersama) thus justifying our purpose for a koperasi as stipulated by the Jabatan . We have achieved the minimum required. However, as our target is all MCOB's, please keep your support coming. You can either register your intent on-line or fax to the MCOBA secretariat. (The entrance fee is RM 10 and minimum share is RM 100, payable when the koperasi is officially registered.)
2. Before KOPERASI MCOBA BERHAD can be registered by the Jabatan the would-be members are required to have the MESYUARAT PENUBUHAN. This meeting must be attended by a minimum of 100 bakal ahli with the representatives of the Jabatan present to brief potential members on the functions and purpose of a koperasi.
The mesyuarat penubuhan is also to allow us to showcase our commitment and seriousness and of course our potential resource and resolve to make the venture successful. The registration of the koperasi as a legal entity shall be dependent on the Jabatan's assesment and impression of us during the mesyuarat penubuhan.
3. A concept paper on the koperasi to be tabled at the mesyuarat penubuhan will be circulated through the group mail for advice and comments. The concept paper should include the group's philosophy, objective, plans and some indications of its administrative and operations strategy.
4. The planned date for the mesyuarat penubuhan is sometime in the 3rd week of January. We will keep you all posted on the exact date, time and venue.
